I just wanted to remind Minnesota folks that there are a few gluten-free things going on this weekend that could be fun for you!
Gluten Free Details for Saturday, March 5
Lakewinds is having its Gluten Free Round Up at its Chanhassen store this Saturday, March 5th (2nd one in Minnetonka on March 19th). There will be several vendors there, including a representative from our local chapter of Raising our Celiac Kids, as well as food vendors like Kettle Cuisine, Pamela’s Products, Beyond the Grain (local company), and many more.
Even if you live a little outside the Twin Cities, expos like these, no matter the venue, are worth it to attend so you can learn more about and try products that are gluten-free. I get so frustrated when I spend $7 on something (that for regular folks costs $1-$3) and my daughter takes a half a bite out of it and won’t touch it again. These events save you money in the long run and are worth the drive.
Gluten Free Details for Sunday, March 6
FOX 9’s Heidi Collins will be at the Minneapolis Home and Garden Show on Sunday March 6th. She will be cooking gluten free with a chef from Crave! When she was asked to do this she said she would if she could cook gluten-free. And she is! Please support the importance of gluten free awareness and cooking by checking this out. You can see her at 11 a.m. on the Main Cooking Stage at the Minneapolis Convention Center.
I am sure there are other gluten free events in other locations this weekend. You can always feel free to post them on The Savvy Celiac Facebook Page or you can comment below!
